THE Fifth District of Pangasinan has been volunteered to be one of the pilot venues for President Duterte’s Balik Probinsya, Bagong Pagasa program aimed at giving balanced development in the rural areas.
Rep. Ramon Guico III said he his district will be ready for the program adding that it’d be timely for the first industrial park and an economic zone in the province of Pangasinan to be established in his district.
The first phase will start in February 2021 and it can generate from 10,000 to 12,000 jobs for Pangasinan, Guico said.
Guico said an economic zone is soon to rise in Barangay Linmansangan, Binalonan and a big investor who owns one of the biggest companies in Japan will visit Pangasinan to invest in the province.
“So I am very positive, very optimistic, this is the beginning of something big for the province, especially in the fifth district of Pangasinan,” he said.
He said many of his constituents who are in Metro Manila have been wanting to return to their place if there are available jobs with decent pay. (PhilStar Wire Service/ECV)
