Prov’l Gov’t started its second wave of relief operations

GOVERNOR Amado I. Espino III personally led the deployment of the relief distribution at the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center.

This time, the provincial government distributed the reliefs directly to every barangay through the municipal and city government units.

On April 23, nine municipalities received the reliefs from the provincial government, namely: Sto Tomas (10 brgys), Balungao (20 brgys), Laoac (22 brgys), Sta. Maria (23 brgys), Natividad (18), Basista (13), Bautista (18), Labrador (10), Burgos (14).

There were 148 barangays who benefitted from this relief distribution who received 20 sacks of rice or 1,000 kilos each.

In total, the provincial government has distributed 2,960 sacks of rice to the first batch of the second wave of the relief distribution.

Another batch of barangays from 7 municipalities received reliefs from the provincial government on April 24, including: Anda (18 brgys), Dasol (18 brgys), Aguilar (16), Urbiztondo (21), Infanta (13), Agno (17) and Mabini (16).

In the second batch, a total of 119 barangays received 20 sacks of rice each. The provincial government has distributed 2380 sacks of rice on April 24.

The relief efforts of the provincial government, which will continue until all the 1,333 barangays are served, intend to augment the existing relief operations of local government units in the province.

Governor Espino also thanked and commended all local chief executives and other local leaders in the province for supporting the relief efforts and all activities
