Prov’l Gov’t completes relief pack distribution to all LGUs in Pangasinan

THE Provincial Government of Pangasinan has completed the first wave of relief package distribution to all 44 towns and three cities in Pangasinan on April 2.

The relief distribution kicked off on Monday, March 30 where ten municipalities received their relief augmentation.

The first batch includes the municipalities of Binmaley, Pozorrubio, Binalonan, Bayambang, Infanta, Bolinao, Natividad, Rosales, Sta. Maria, Umingan and Sison.

The Provincial Government also distributed relief package on March 31 to the following municipalities: Malasiqui, San Fabian, Villasis, Santo Tomas, Basista, Balungao, San Quintin, Tayug, San Manuel, Asingan, San Nicolas, Dasol, Agno and Mabini.

Another set of local government units (LGUs) received their relief packs on April 1 which includes the cities of Urdaneta, San Carlos, and Alaminos, and municipalities of Manaoag, Mangaldan, San Jacinto, Mapandan, Urbiztondo, Sta. Barbara, Bani, Anda and Burgos.

The relief packs also reached the last eleven municipalities on April 2 which completed the list of LGUs in the province namely: Binalonan, Binmaley, Infanta, Pozorrubio, Sison, Sta. Maria, Umingan, Bolinao, Bayambang, Natividad, and Rosales.

Governor Amado I. Espino III personally led the daily deployment of the relief distribution from the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center Gymnasium.

The massive relief packing of goods were administered by the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) and were done by provincial government employees since March 19.

The relief package includes three kilograms of rice, two tin cans of sardines, and two packs of instant noodles.

A total of 97,300 relief packs and 2,400 sacks of rice were delivered as of April 2. /Paula Jhea Sison
