MAKE-UP ARTISTS PLEDGE

A GRATEFUL home-based make-up artist in Mangaldan wants to show his appreciation to the frontliners in a way he knows best – to provide free bridal make-up service to  COVID-19 frontliners set to tie the knot soon.

Froilan Cortez, known to his patrons as Lian Lang, is a 26-year-old make-up artist from Barangay Salay, owns the Lian Lang’s Beauty Republic in the town.

Cortez said the idea to pledge his service Tuesday night came to him while he was sorting photos to be uploaded on his social media account.

“It just popped up. Yun lang naisip kung way para naman after ng pandemic na ito mapaganda sila sa importanteng araw ng buhay nila”, said Cortez.

For him, it was his own little way of appreciating the frontliners’ sacrifices.

Ten frontliners immediately took his offer after he uploaded a photo with the caption making his pledge known to provide free service to first ten frontliners planning to wed soon.

He also posed a challenge to other hair and make-up artists to do the same.

Cortez is one of the Filipinos whose work has been affected due to the Luzon-wide COVID-19 lockdown.

“Kapit lang. Kaya natin itong lahat”, he said. (Ahikam Pasion)
