FOURTH District Rep. Christopher De Venecia is not having second thoughts proceeding with his Medical Mission van not only in his district but in the whole province, with the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) to collect more blood for Pangainenses‘ future use in case of emergency situations.

The Red Cross caravan, Blood-on-Wheels, first visited the towns of Binalonan and Pozorrubio in Eastern Pangasinan on April 15.

De Venecia said even if the province is still in the midst of the battle against COVID-19, there is a pressing need to boost the need for blood for PRC’s blood banks and hospitals especially at this time when the supply of blood in all the blood banks in Pangasinan is almost scant.

Those who can and want to donate blood, they can call PRC Pangasinan Chapter. (094-791-2928) or through its Facebook page.

Meanwhile, De Venecia’s staff delivered 300 sacks of rice to Dagupan City to boost the city’s relief operations for families locked in their homes because of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) ordered by President Rodrigo Duterte.

The delivery of P600,000 worth of rice made possible by De Venecia from his personal account was received by Mayor Brian Lim.

The donation was in addition to De Venecia’s donation the day before of 250 pieces of washable face masks and another 250 disposable face masks to frontline workers in Dagupan. (Leonardo Micua)
