P’sinan records first confirmed COVID-19 case

PANGASINAN recorded its first confirmed case on March 20 in Bayambang town.

This was confirmed by Bayambang Mayor Cezar Quiambao, in a live interview aired over Aksyon Radyo Pangasinan, where he also confirmed that the victim died

at the Lung Center of the Philippines.

“The patient was tested earlier this month but the results from the Department of Health only came in today. The DOH, in coordination with the Rural Health Unit, is monitoring all contacts of this person who are strongly advised to follow home quarantine”, the advisory said.

Consequently, Quiambao ordered the immediate total lockdown of the town, effective 12:01 A.M. of March 21, until March 28.

He said all entries and exits to and from Barangay Bical Norte will be closed for disinfection operation. (Ahikam Pasion)
