Pangasinan Prov’l Hospital remains ISO 9001:2015 certified
THE excellent delivery of quality health care services provided by Pangasinan Provincial Hospital has been validated anew by the International Organization of Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015’s certification of the hospital.
PPH Chief of Hospital Aurelio O. Cariño confirmed that PPH is once again validated for ISO 9001:2015 certification this year, affirming the continued delivery of optimum healthcare services to Pangasinenses.
The validation was issued by Certification International Philippines auditors Lyn Angela Cayetano, Rodolfo C. Viola, Jr., and Paul Timothy Hupanda held on February 10-12.
Dr. Cariño said services offered in the provincial hospital which were audited by the Certification International Philippines in four areas: medical service, ancillary service, administrative service and nursing service.
The audit sought to assess the overall effectiveness of the management system including significant changes against the requirements for recertification of the management systems.
Five areas in PPH’s medical services were assessed, from Internal Medicine, OB-Gynecology, Surgery, Pediatrics and Anesthesiology to ancillary services, Pharmacy, Radiology, Laboratory, Dental and Dietary and Nutrition.
Audited administrative services of the PPH included billing, medical records, PhilHealth section, property and supply, medical social service, motorpool, maintenance, laundry and security.
Housekeeping, infection control and out-patient department (OPD) which fall under nursing services of the PPH were also evaluated.
