THE provincial government earned two awards last year for local revenue collection in 2018 from the Bureau of Local Government Finance.

According to Provincial Treasurer Marilou E. Utanes, Pangasinan was ranked 9th in the revenue generation in the 2018 Total Local Revenue Collection for its P1,291,916,089 local government unit (LGU) collection per Statement of Receipts and Expenditures (SRE), and for attaining 101.37% collection efficiency.

Utanes said the provincial government led by Governor Amado I. Espino III will continue to aim for higher revenue collection for the future projects and programs of the province.

“The PTO has instituted innovative programs and developmental measures where we focus on revenue setting and tri-media campaigns,” said Utanes. (PIO)
