A MODERN sports and civic complex will soon rise in a sprawling 10-hectare land in Barangay Ano here as part of the government’s Build Build Build Program.
This was announced by Mayor Julier Resuello and cited Third District Rep. Rosemarie Arenas and other officials who helped provide initial P20-million for the project.
“Magkakaroon tayo ng isang lugar na pwedeng pagdausan ng malalaking events na rain or shine pwede nating magamit, Hindi lang ang siyudad ang makakagamit nitö but we will also open it to the public.” Resuello said.
The city government will also construct a bigger school building for the 15-year-old Binalatongan Community College in the area because the present building that is being rented by the government from the Resuello family at one peso (P1.00) annually, can accommodate 300 students.
The school’s student population today is already 1,350.
Meanwhile, Information Officer Jhuliano N. Resuello said other business and commercial establishments and satellite markets will be established in Agdao and Aponit to decongest the Poblacion. (PIA/(VHS)
