Fire razes 9 houses

FIRE razed to the ground nine houses made of light materials in Barangay Mabanogbog in Urdaneta City on March 15.

SFO1 Franklin Corpuz, chief of the Intelligence and Investigation Department of the Bureau of Fire Protection in the city, said the fire started at 11:29 p.m. and was put out at 12:10 a.m.

Corpuz said the fire reached second level fire alarm before it was totally declared fire out.

There were no injuries or casualties reported and the damages were estimated at P62,000.

Corpuz said cause of the fire has yet to be determined.

He reminded the city residents to be mindful of lit candles or stoves or anything that has fire, to check electrical wirings, and never to leave appliances plugged.

It was the third residential fire recorded this year in the city, while most of other fire incidents were grassfires. (Jerick Pasiliao)
