Prov’l Jail suspends regular, conjugal visits
THE Pangasinan Provincial Jail issued a temporary suspension yesterday, February 12, of the regular visiting day (Saturday) and conjugal visits as a precautionary measure against the ongoing threat of Covid-19.
Provincial Warden Ferdinand Natividad clarified that the temporary suspension is not a form restriction and harassment to persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) and their visitors.
“Ang hakbang na ito ay hindi isang uri ng paghihigpit o pang-gigipit bagkus ito ay isang hakbang para po sa kabutihan at kapakanan ng lahat lalo na sa ang mga nakapiit na mga PDLs at ganoon din ang mga empleyado ng provincial jail,” Natividad noted.
He clarified, however, that the jail management will accommodate and deliver the food and consignments to the PDLs from visitors within the given day and hours of visit. (PIO/PJS)
