FREED EARLIER ON PLEA BARGAINING

THREE high value target drug personalities were arrested last Thursday at 1.30 a.m. in a buy-bust operation by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in old De Venecia Highway in Barangay Lucao, Dagupan City.

PDEA Pangasinan Provincial Officer Dexter Asayco identified the suspects as Christopher Villa, 44 of the Calasiao Public Order and Safety Office; Aaron James Andaya, 20, a busine3ssman, and Elron Palomata, 20, unemployed, all residents of Barangay Lucao in Dagupan City.

The three suspects, known for operating in Dagupan City, Calasiao and Mangaldan towns were already arrested earlier but were released on plea bargaining made before the court.

Plea bargaining was introduced by the Supreme Court to help decongest jail facilities that requires suspects to report to barangay chairmen for supervision.

Authorities recovered three sachets of suspected shabu weighing over 50 grams with a market value of P340,000, buy bust money and shabu paraphernalia from the suspects’ custody.

The suspects are now facing charges for violating R.A. 9165. (Nora Dominguez/Ahikam Pasion)
