SP urged to pass resolution condemning CPP-NPA-NDF atrocities

THE Department of the Interior and Local Government has asked the Sangguniang Panlungsod to adopt a resolution condemning the atrocities of the CPP (Communist Party of the Philippines) –NPA (New People’s Army)-NDF (National Democratic Front) and to declare the groups as persona non grata in Dagupan City.

Marilyn B. Laguipo, city local government operations officer, reiterated DILG’S policy in her letter dated December 16, 2019 to Vice Mayor Dean Bryan Kua, presiding officer of the SP, following the adoption of a similar resolution adopted by the City Peace and Order Council chaired by Mayor Marc Brian Lim on October 24, 2019.

The CPOC resolution was concurred with by Marcelino Fernandez, Liga ng mga Barangay president; Lt. Colonel Abubakar Mangelen Jr., chief of police of Dagupan; Robert Christopher Erfe-Mejia, chief of the POSO.

Laguipo is head of the secretariat of CPOC.

The letter of Laguipo was referred to the SP Committee on Peace and Order chaired by Councilor Luis Samson Jr.

Many towns have already issued their respective resolutions condemning the atrocities of CPP-NPA-NDF. (Leonardo Micua)
