Schools told: No collection for Christmas parties
THE Department of Education Dagupan City Schools Division Office (SDO) reminded public schools under its wing not to impose mandatory collection of cash for Christmas and year-end parties.
This, after complaints were lodged on alleged collection by teachers for class parties.
Dr. Lourdes Servito, DepEd Dagupan SDO Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, said that this is in accordance with the DepEd ‘No Collection’ policy.
Servito, however, said that a compromise can be reached among parents allowing for voluntary contributions.
Meanwhile, Dr. Celia Junio-Fernandez, DepEd Dagupan Schools Division Superintendent informed teachers that they will receive their Service Recognition Incentives (SRI) on December 20 as authorized by President Rodrigo Duterte last week. (Ahikam Pasion)
