Five towns benefit from SALINTUBIG

THE SALINTUBIG (Sagana at Ligtas na TUBIG para sa Lahat) program of the Department of the Interior and Local Government’s (DILG) has been benefitting barangay residents of Agno, Bani, Urbiztondo, Bolinao, and Aguilar for two years now.

According to DILG Pangasinan director Randy dela Rosa said barangays in Agno, Bani, Urbiztondo in particular have been twice recipients of P10 million to P15 million grant each since 2017.  

“The P11-million project in Urbiztondo and the P15 million in Aguillar are both on-going,” dela Rosa said. 

The P12-million project in Bolinao was completed in 2018. 

Meanwhile, Agno and Urbiztondo were chosen anew as beneficiaries of P11-million funding each in 2020.

 SALINTUBIG is a continuing project of the DILG, which aims to provide more people access to potable water.

De la Rosa said the project involves water analysis and site validation for source of potable water for communities.

Barangays in need of potable water in their areas may submit their requests, he said. (Helen Martin)
