AGUILAR – A woman here killed herself after an argument with her live-in partner.

P/Captain Rommel Sembrano, Aguilar chief of police, said that the victim, Ladylyn Abalos, a resident of Baranga Bocacliw, killed herself by drinking oxalic acid.

The victim’s partner, Mardi Apostol, reportedly came home drunk and that led to their heated altercation during which he punched the victim in the stomach.

Apostol later saw Abalos drinking the chemical.

She was immediately rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

Apostol is currently under police custody. Oxalic acid is a highly corrosive chemical used as a cleaning agent (Ahikam Pasion)
