A thirteen-year-old boy was found floating face-down, lifeless on Monday in a river in Barangay Caranglaan in Dagupan City.

Police said the parents of the victim, Luigi Villanueva, a resident of Barangay Malued, went to the city police station to report that he was missing for two days after he and his friends went swimming in the river on Saturday.

His body was discovered by the coast guard and police personnel.

The Dagupan City Police reminded the public to avoid swimming in rivers when the water level is high owing to rains. (Melody Valenton)
