THE Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office in Lingayen reported zero-drowning incidents during the long weekend for the All Saints’ Day observance until Nov. 3.

According to Avenix Arenas, PDRRMO spokesperson, only a near-drowning incident involving an 11-year-old girl was reported on Nov. 3 at the Lingayen Beach.

The victim’s video of her rescue by a member of the Water and Search Rescue team posted on Facebook went viral on Sunday where cardiopulmonary resuscitation was being done to her.

Arenas said the victim was already in stable condition after she was taken to Lingayen District Hospital following her quick rescue.

She said last year, Pangasinan also recorded zero drowning incidents in the same period. (PhilStar Wire Service/ECV)
