Motorcycle backrider dead in collision

BINMALEY – A motorcycle backrider was pronounced dead on arrival at a hospital, while its driver was wounded after their motorcycle was hit by a car.

The initial police investigation showed that on November 11, the motorcycle driven by Reden Ranola, a resident of Anolid, Mangaldan that had Lester Paul Sison of Barangay Manat as backrider, was hit by a company car driven by Juanito Cadiz while cruising along the McArthur Highway, this town.

The responders rushed the victims to the nearby hospital but Sison was declared by the attending physician dead on arrival. Ranola on the other hand, is recovering from his injuries.

The Binmaley Police held Cadiz under its custody pending filing of charges against him. (Melody Valenton)
