Man gunned down over land dispute
ALCALA – A farmer here was shot dead by a fellow farmer over land dispute.
The victim, Nestor Castañeda Sr., was walking to his farm in Barangay San Vicente, when the suspect Dominador Acosta, armed with a pistol, accosted the victim.
Police reports showed that both victim and suspect had a heated argument that led to the shooting of Castañeda. He was hit in different parts of his body.
The suspect fled the crime scene, but was eventually caught after being cornered in Barangay Laoac after an intense manhunt operation. Acosta eventually admitted to the crime. (Ahikam Pasion)
