THE most wanted person in Malasiqui, an incumbent barangay councilman of Barangay Bakitiw, was arrested by Limay Municipal Police Station in Bataan on Monday.

P/Lt. Col. Franklin Ortiz, Malasiqui Police Station chief, said the barangay official, Roger Bayangat, was arrested through the serving of  two warrants of arrest for murder with the used of unlicensed firearm dated March 29, 2019 and illegal possession of ammunitions dated April 30, 2019.

Bayangat was immediately turned over by Limay Police following his arrest. He reportedly fled after the alleged murder incident on March.

“We had reports that he was in Bataan, so we coordinated with the police there,” Ortiz said.

Bayangat allegedly shot his neighbor owing to an old grudge.  The suspect is now detained at the police station here. (Helen Martin)
