Free wifi access in all towns soon
LEAGUE OF MUNICIPALITIES’ PRIORITY
ACCESS to free wifi in all towns is one of the priorities of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP) Pangasinan Chapter.
According to LMP Pangasinan president and Lingayen, Mayor Leopoldo Bataoil, the project will be accomplished under LMP National President Chavit Singson’s program of building service towers in each LGU.
Bataoil said every LGU must comply with the requirements for access to the service tower for free wifi in every town.
Meanwhile, towns are also expected to have a free truck each from the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) fund.
This was the highlight of the first LMP meeting hosted by Bataoil.
The LMP district-wide meeting is scheduled to be held every two months and there will be assigned coordinators in every district. (Nora Dominguez)
