Bugallon bikefest on November 27
PANGASINAN cyclists will begin to oil their
pedals and loosen their leg muscles for the First Mayor Mely I. Espino Cup Tour
de Segundo Distrito that will flag off on November 27 in conjunction with the
celebration of Bugallon town fiesta.
The bikefest, exclusively for Pangasinan riders with a maximum of 70
participants, will start and finish across the municipal hall of Bugallon
traversing the towns of Lingayen, Binmaley via the Baywalk Area, back to Lingayen
via Barangay Tonton, Labrador via Barangay Domalandan, back to Bugallon via
barangays Magtaking-Soconi, Aguilar, Mangatarem, Urbiztondo, Basista, San
Carlos City, Biec junction (Binmaley), Quibaol junction (Lingayen) via Barangay
Matalava, then finishes in Bugallon via Soconi junction with an approximate
distance of 126 kilometers.
“We are holding cycling races every time we celebrate our town fiesta as one of
our contributions for the development of sports in the province initiated by
the sports-minded Governor Amado “Pogi” Espino lll,“ said Mayor Mely I. Espino.
Cash prizes, trophies and medals are up for grabs and no entry fee will charged from the contestants. (Jesus Garcia, Jr.)
