Barangay kagawad stabs 18-year old boy

POZORRUBIO – “Wrong parking”.

This heated argument that started between an 18-year-old boy, a motorcycle rider, and a son of a barangay kagawad led to the former’s alleged stabbing by the kagawad himself on Tuesday in Barangay Rosario here.

P/Lieutenant Jesus Tambano, deputy chief of Pozorrubio Police, said this stabbing by barangay kagawad Freddie Calpotura, was allegedly triggered by continued disagreement and arguing over the parking issue the victim, Tommy Pahigon, who suffered multiple wounds in different parts of his body.

Initial investigation showed the motorcycle of Pahigon was on the third lane of the national highway, so the suspect’s son asked for it to be transferred to another area. The victim followed the kagawad’s son to the latter’s house where the suspect was at the time. The victim is being observed in a hospital while the suspect will be charged with a case of attempted homicide. (Melody Valenton)
