51 PWDs to get free prostheses, wheelchairs

FIFTY one differently-abled Pangasinenses have been predetermined as beneficiaries of prostheses and wheelchairs from Mahaveer Philippine Foundation Inc., Physicians for Peace Philippines, and Walking Free Foundation.

Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) chief Emil Samson said the recipients of the support devices have undergone the assessment and measurement on November 9 at the President Hotel Annex in Lingayen.

The 37 recipients of prostheses and 14 recipients of wheelchairs – under the mature age bracket – come from San Carlos City, Mangatarem, San Fabian, Malasiqui, Calasiao, Aguilar, Lingayen, Bani, Sta. Barbara, Basista, Dagupan City, San Jacinto, Agno, Asingan, and San Carlos City.
