3 vehicles collide, passenger dies
URDANETA – A woman died in a three-vehicle collision here.
The Urdaneta Police identified the victim as Maria Teresa Corpuz, 52 years old, a resident of Barangay Alibeng in Sison, a tricycle passenger.
According to the initial police investigation, the tricycle that Corpuz was riding. was crossing the road when a ‘garong’ driven by a certain Arvi Clyveen Binwag, a student, hit the tricycle and another.
Responders brought the tricycle drivers and Corpuz to the nearby hospital. The drivers suffered minimal scratches and slight wounds but Corpuz was pronounced dead.
Binwag was reportedly drunk at the time of the accident. He will be charged with a case of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide. (Melody Valenton)
