Provincial Security Summit set Oct. 7

THE provincial government is all set to stage the Provincial Security Summit on October 7 at the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center in Lingayen.

Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer Rhodyn Luchinvar Oro, event organizer, said  barangay captains, municipal and city disaster risk reduction and management officers, Department of Education schools divisions based in the province to be represented by district coordinators will attend the summit.

The provincial government has tapped the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) – Pangasinan, Pangasinan – Police Provincial Office (PPO), and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) as event partners.

Topics to be discussed during the security summit include: Understanding Violent Extremism, Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo, Role of the Barangay Based Institution in Peace and Order, and Security, Swine Disease Situationer, and Barangay DRRM Updates.

Expected to attend the summit are Pangasinan PPO Acting Provincial Director Redrico Maranan, AFP Brigade Commander Audrey Pasia (702 BDE, 71D), DILG Pangasinan OIC Provincial Director Randy dela Rosa, and Assistant Provincial Veterinarian Jovito Tabarejos. (PIO)
