Speaking at the “Talakayan sa Kapitolyo at Capitol Resort Hotel on Oct. 22. Florentino advised public to wait for the prosecutor’s office to complete the process and for the court to decide on the issuance of the warrants of arrests after the prosecutors shall have submitted their case.

Meanwhile, joint police elements served a search warrant for violation of the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition- at the residence of the identified suspect, Teofilo Ferrer, alias “Pong” of Barangay Camanbugan, Urbiztondo last week.

Ferrer, former barangay captain of Camanbugan, a suspect in the slay attempt on former Rep. Amado Espino Jr., was not in his house when lawmen served the search warrant. However, a hand grenade, a handgun, and ammunition were found in his house by the police.

Members of his family said Ferrer has not been home for several days.

However, family members questioned the report of the raiding team alleging that a hand grenade was found by a TV set in the living room and have threated to file a complaint against the members of the raiding team.

P/Colonel Redrico Maranan, police provincial director, said the serving of the search warrant was regular and cited the video-recording by members of the Ferrer family.
