Pangasinense, 2019 Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Filipinos awardee

THE P/ Col. Edwin A. Quilates, a native of San Carlos City, currently provincial director of Batangas, recently chosen one of 2019 Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Filipinos was cited by the provincial government for his accomplishment.

Sangguniang Panlalawigan adopted Resolution No. 222-2019, acknowledged “Quilates’s excellent performance as current police provincial director of Batangas Police Provincial Office is a clear manifestation of his unwavering commitment to defend the rule of law and serve the police organization at all times.”

Quilates, 49 years old, has rendered 25 years of police service, joined the ranks of outstanding policemen in the country who were recognized by the Metrobank Foundation, Inc.

Quilates was recognized for his community development program that included: Oplan Iron Curtain, colloquially known as “lockdown” in 2018, that led to the swift apprehension of criminals involved in shooting and/or robbery incidents; and Agapay Bayan campaign, a community extension program provided indigent communities’ basic needs and legal assistance.
