Missing Grade 12 student found dead
AGUILAR – A grade 12 student, who was reported missing last September, was found dead near a river.
P/ Captain Rommel Sembrano, Aguilar chief of police, said the victim, Michael John Cariño, 20 years old, was a student of Aguilar Integrated School.
He was reportedly last seen on September 21, when he attended a wake. Cariño, however, failed to return home that prompted his family to report his absence to the police.
He was eventually found lifeless, his body already in a state of decomposition, last Tuesday. The family eventually confirmed that it was Cariño.
“Nakakuha kami ng information na may bangkay na natagpuan malapit sa ilog sa bahagi ng Barangay Bocboc”, said Sembrano.
The cadaver also has an elastic rubber tied around his neck, believed to be his cause of death.
Police are investigating motive behind his death since the victim had no record of any irregular activity. (Ahikam Pasion)
