Elderly Filipino Week 2019 observed in Pangasinan
LEVITICUS 19:32 said it is when we stand up in the presence of the aged and show respect for the elderly that we actually revere to God.
Towns and cities celebrated the 2019 Elderly Filipino Week with the theme, “Healthy and Productive Aging Starts With Me”
In Alaminos City, Mayor Arth Bryan Celeste and Rep. Arnold “Noli” Celeste organized raffle for special senior citizen. In Agno, a search for the Mrs. Senior Citizen 2019 and colorful float parade of lolos and lolas were held. In San Carlos City, the city health office offered a pneumococcal and anti-flu vaccine drive at BJMP.
Elderly Filipino Week is observed every first week of October by virtue of proclamation no. 470 signed on September 26, 1994 by then President Fidel V. Ramos. (Melody Valenton)
