Dagupan PNP gears up for Undas 2019

THE Dagupan City Police has began planning for the implementation of a security plan for the peaceful observance of Undas on November 1.

Lieutenant Colonel Abubakar Mangelen, Dagupan City chief of police, said all Dagupan PNP personnel, SWAT operatives, and motorcycle operatives will be deployed to secure seven cemeteries, churches, terminals, and highways.

Mangelen said police will be augmented by force multipliers composed of the Public Order and Safety Office (POSO), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), City Health Office (CHO), and various private groups, to assist with the jam packed crowd come Undas.

He said traffic will be rerouted, secured parking areas will be provided, and strict prohibition in cemeteries of contraband items and deadly weapons.

Partial deployment will be implemented one week before November 1, while full deployment will be in place on October 30 to November 2. (Ahikam Pasion)
