Winners in int’l contemporary dance tilt, karatedo contests hailed

GOVERNOR Amado I. Espino III commended Mae Graham of Lingayen, Miyah Angela Dar and Jillian Madison, both from Dagupan City, for winning the gold medal in the Asia Pacific Arts Festival – contemporary dance category (ballet), on September 24.

He cited the trio’s accomplishment, who were trained by Choni Young under the Performing Arts Studio based in Dagupan City, and bested 130 groups from countries and territories in the Asia Pacific region,. The winning team is bound for Malaysia February next year.

Meanwhile, P/Corporal Dominador Edos Jr. of Lingayen was recognized for winning two bronze medals in the 2019 World Police and Fire Games held on in China in the 18-35 year-old category of kata (form) and kumite (sparing). He is presently stationed at the National Capital Region Police Office. Edos was the only Pangasinense in the Philippine team in the international event that was participated in by police and fire officers from 79 countries. (PIO/MGNO)
