ROSALES – With the increasing number of dengue cases, the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation of this town was moved to help their kabaleyans.

They raised funds through a fun run on August 25, to purchase medicine and dextrose  distributed to dengue patients in the town through Dr. Adam Arlie Guieb of Rosales Infirmary.

According to Randy Opeña, SK Federation – Rosales president, the growing number of dengue cases in their town led them to organize the event and help dengue patients .

“Salamat sa lahat ng sumali sa run for a cause. Dahil sa inyo, marami na tayong matutulungan,” Opeña said.

To date, the project has served more than 20 beneficiaries. Among those who received medical assistance were Shinichi David from Barangay Acop, Zanita Navarro of Calanutan, Cristina Abalos of Barangay Guiling, and Agnes Casiano from Barangay Carmay East. (Melody Valenton)
