STUDENT by morning, singer by night, Arielle Apalis, 18-year-old working student, is doing all to help her family cope with costs of living and is determined to succeed.

Arielle, who hails from Bugallon town is one of the 64 finalist vying to win in the second season of GMA 7’s reality singing competition “The Clash”.

At the age of 3, her parents, Ariel and Imelda said they realized their daughter has a special talent when they heard her humming tunes of songs played on the radio.

Finally, at age 7, she knew she has been blessed by God with melodic voice and started to join singing competitions until she found herself competing in “The Clash”.

It’s a dream come true for her to sing in front of millions, the step before she finally becomes a successful professional singer with her talent., and to inspire others with her voice and songs.

“The Clash” is actually not her first time to national singing competition. When she was 14, she became one of the finalists in ABS-CBN’S “Tawag ng Tanghalan” feature of “It’s Showtime” noon time show. early this year, and the semi-finalist in Wish FM 107.5’s “Wishcovery” Season 2.

Despite setbacks, she said she is not discouraged and disheartened and instead more determined to win, inspired by her desire to help her family live more comfortably.

“Ang pangarap ko po ay hindi lamang para sa sarili at sa family ko kundi para rin po sa mga tao someday na matutulungan ko,” she told The PUNCH.

To Arielle whose passion is music, it is everything for her and said she will not stop till she realizes her dream – to win a national title.

Arielle can be the next The Clash champion by watching the show and voting for her during the live rounds.

The Clash Season 2 is set to premiere on September 21 with Rayver Cruz, Julie Ann San Jose, Ken Chan, and Rita Daniela serving as the hosts. It will be aired during the network’s Sabado Star Power sa Gabi and Sunday Grandé sa Gabi. (Melody Valenton)
