THE Department of Social Welfare and Development DSWD) Field Office 1 delisted 24,332 households in Pangasinan, or 51% of the 47,078 households delisted in the region from the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), as of August 2019.

This was gleaned from the report that showed Pangasinan, being the largest number of households covered by 4Ps, has the biggest number of households delisted from 4Ps for various reasons and violations of requirements for qualifications.

Of the number delisted, 20,720 were found to have no eligible member from zero to 18-year old children; 474 were found to have regular or sufficient income; five committed fraud (misrepresentation); 93 committed misdemeanors like gambling and pawning their cash cards; 107 are duplicate households, 2 are non-compliant to program regulations: and 2,931 voluntarily waived coverage of the program.

Before households were delisted from 4Ps, they underwent thorough and rigid assessment by the Case Manager.

The three towns that had the highest number of delisted beneficiaries were Bayambang, 1,298; Malasiqui, 1,211; and Mangatarem, 070.

Ineligible households, according to DSWD, already reached self-sufficiency (in their incomes) per assessment of the Case Managers, Social Welfare Officers and Grievance Officers based on the Grievance Redress System (GRS) Procedural Guidelines. Meanwhile, waiving from the program is a voluntary decision of the household after claiming that they no longer need assistance from the program after attaining the level of stability.
