LINGAYEN – The alert status in Manaoag has been reverted to normal after two weeks of a red alert declared by the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office as preemptive action against possible ISIS planned attacks.

In an interview, P/Colonel Redrico Maranan, police provincial director, said the restoration of Manaoag’s status to ‘normal’ was done on orders of Regional Director Brigadier General Joel Orduña.

However, Maranan, said presence of uniformed personnel from both the Army and the PNP and K-9 units will still be seen particularly at the Minor Basilica.

Their presence, he said, will boost tourists’ sense of security, Maranan added. (Ahikam Pasion)
