THE Job Fair on Wheels (JWF) and Mobile Skills Training Project (MSTP) by the provincial government were in Labrador town for a job fair on August 16.
Jobseekers were offered jobs for local and overseas placements in agriculture and food, architecture and construction, manufacturing, business management and outsourcing, human services, health, hospitality, marketing and sales, transportation, distribution and logistics, and skills-related.
Public Employment Services Office (PESO) Chief Alex Ferrer said more than 1,000 Pangasinenses were provided skills training and employment since the MSTP and JFW is launched by the provincial government in 2017. He said the unemployment rate in the province registered 5.8% in April.
Both JWF and MSTP have held job fairs in Malasiqui, Laoac, Pozzurubio, Bautista, Tayug, Bani, Dasol, Balungao, Alcala, Manaoag, Mangaldan, Mapandan, Agno, Burgos, San Carlos, Bautista, San Manuel, and Natividad. (Melody Valenton)
