Postal ID already acceptable for passport application

THE new policy of Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) to accept the Postal ID issued by the Philippine Postal Corporation (PhilPost) as a valid government-issued ID for passport applications is welcomed by applicants.

Maria Ulanday of Tapuac District in Dagupan said she has not used her postal ID in any transaction with the government transactions, so she welcomes the news. Daryl Maquinad of Pantal  said the acceptance of Postal ID makes it more convenient to comply with government requirements for verification.

Shielby Zamora from Malasiqui said acceptance of Postal ID makes it easier for many who have no access to other government IDs. Erica Panlilio of Bugallon echoed the same citing the difficulty of securing NBI or driver’s license.  (Melody Valenton)
