Hitmen shot, wounded fisherman
A fisherman in Linoc, Binmaley was shot and wounded by unidentified armed men riding a motorcycle in tandem at about 7:20 a.m. on June 28.
The victim, identified as Rommel de Guzman, 46, was shot while driving his “garong” on his way home to Barangay Linoc.
The gunmen who were trailing him from behind fled. Meanwhile, De Guzman was rushed to the Specialist Group of Hospital and Trauma Center in Dagupan City where the bullet embedded in his upper rib cage was removed.
The suspects and motive of the attempted slaying have yet to be determined. (Leonardo Micua)
