First female mayor of Bugallon: “Mother knows best”
ON July 1, a first will be written in Bugallon’s history forever — the inauguration and start of the work of the first female Bugallon mayor, Priscilla “Mely” I. Espino.
Putting God first in everything she and her family does, Mayor Mely assumed great accountability and responsibility to serve the town after the successful and smooth turnover ceremonies led by her son and her predecessor, the newly elected Second District Rep. Jumel Anthony I. Espino, at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall.
Present to witness the event were Sangguniang Bayan members, barangay chairmen, and SK presidents.
Mayor Espino said she looks forward to working with everyone in the most compassionate way for the betterment of her town as she credited the past administration of former Mayor Jumel Espino for the good job it did to improve Bugallon.
As she believes that “Mother knows best”, she said she is determined to bring more progress to the town. (Melody Valenton)
