Disaster responders get health wellness care

LINGAYEN – The frontline disaster responders in the province were hosted for a day of R & R at the Training and Development Center here by the provincial government last week July 23.

Personnel of coast guard, armed forces, police that formed search and rescue teams and were given haircut, hair color, foot spa, facial care, massage, and other health wellness care.

Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office Chief Rhodyn Oro said this shows gratitude to the efforts and sacrifices of the disaster responders, believing that it will soon be expanded and enriched to provide more activities that these men may enjoy.

The unique tribute to the trained personnel who are ready to respond to any emergency 24/7 was in recognition of the hard work that takes a toll on their bodies as they seek to prevent casualties during typhoons and flooding. (Melody Valenton)
