Capitol’s preparedness for typhoon assured

LINGAYEN—The emergency operation command center of the Pangasinan Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) is prepared for contingencies in anticipation of the rainy season.

PDRRMO spokesperson Avenix Arenas told media that 40 new personnel of local government units have been trained to augment operations of town’s local disaster risk reduction and management operations (LDRRMO).

At the same time, Arenas said PDRRMO’s emergency operation center will already be activated this month in order to ensure preparation of the  Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection  and all the LDDRMO in towns and cities, and all rescue equipment are in place.

“The provincial government has purchased two mini rescue trucks with generators, in addition to our six rescue trucks, elf trucks, multi-purpose rescue vehicles, two jetski, four rescue boats, four rubber boats, among others,” she said.
