Pusher shot dead in Dagupan buy-bust
A suspected drug pusher was killed in a shootout with police operatives during a drug-buy bust operation at Sitio Bliss in Barangay Bonuan Binloc in Dagupan City at about 12:30 a.m. on May 28.
Killed was Ron-Ron Manalo, 36, of Calle Guapo in Barangay Bonuan Gueset.
Investigation showed that as the operatives were about to arrest Manalo, he pulled out his hand gun from his waist and shot the poseur buyer after sensing that he is a Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) agent.
The operatives quickly retaliated resulting in the neutralization of the suspect.
Recovered from the area was the sachet of shabu being sold to the undercover agent and, another sachet containing shabu worth P50,000 found in his bag.
Also recovered by SOCO operatives were the buy-bust money and a Cal. 32 pistol loaded with three bullets. (Leonardo Micua)
