FARMERS and producers in Bugallon town received P500,000 financial assistance through the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program and Emergency Employment Program (DILEEP) last week.

The DILEEP, also known as Kabuhayan Program, is a DOLE project that provides grants as start-up capital for livelihood and entrepreneurial ventures of marginalized workers to augment their income and help recover losses from calamities.

DOLE specifically provided financial assistance to help boost the production of various chili products like chili oil and paste, spicy vinegar, etc.

The awarding ceremony was attended by Vice Mayor Winston Tandoc, Councilors Aislinn De Guzman and Ramie Ocsan, and members of the Bugallon Great Farmers-Producers Association. (Melody Valenton)
