Poe makes more promises

RE-ELECTIONIST Sen. Grace Poe said she’s hoping vote-rich Pangasinan will push her to victory again in the May 13 polls, adding that it would be a sentimental win as she claims her late adoptive father, Fernando Poe Jr. hailed from San Carlos City this province.

“So even if some people say I need not go around here to campaign because I’m a sure winner, (still) I’m here to thank them,” she said.

She said her dream is for Pangasinan to have its airport. She is optimistic this can be done “as she can work for many things in the next six years” if she wins another term.

Poe said as an agricultural province, she will also push for more help for the Pantawid Pangisda Program and the cash for work program, with the help of local government units’ calamity fund, for calamity-affected fishermen and farmers’ respectively.

She added she is also considering to push for a program for indigent senior citizens to have their own conditional cash transfer

“So I’m thankful because if one does not have a political party, it is the people who really are the ones who put you there,” Poe, an independent candidate said. (With PhilStar Wire Service)
