Ms. Labrador wins Limgas na Pangasinan title
LINGAYEN — This year, it was the beauteous young lady
from Labrador town, Gwendoline Meliz F. Soriano, who claimed the Limgas na
Pangasinan 2019 crown.
Twenty year-old Soriano was crowned during the glittering pageant night held at
the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center gymnasium on April 30.
“I am blessed and overwhelmed… to be crowned the new Limgas,” the emotional
Soriano, a senior mass communication student at the Trinity University Asia,
said in an interview.
As the newly-crowned Limgas, Soriano received her sash as Miss
Millennial Pangasinan as the province’s representative to the upcoming Miss
Millennial Philippines search.
Soriano earlier won six special awards: Darling of the Press, Best in Talent,
Best in Festival Costume, Best in Swimwear, Best in Evening Gown (Filipiniana),
and Best Evening Gown Designer.
Patricia Anne Nichole Bangug (Binmaley) was crowned Limgas na Turismo, while
Perla Peabody (Villasis) was named Limgas na Kalikasan.
Runners-up were: Allyson Claire dela Cruz (Bugallon), and JM Paragas
(Lingayen).
Rounding off the top eight finalists from a field of 15 contestants were Tiffany
Munoz (Asingan), Bonna Brexie Molina (Urdaneta City), and Felice Nicolle Carino
(Mangaldan).
Winners of other special awards were: Bangug (Smart Texters’ Choice, and
People’s Choice Award), Carino (Best Promotional Video), Peabody (Miss
Congeniality), and Dela Cruz (Miss Photogenic).
The 15 Limgas crown hopefuls were trimmed to the top eight finalists after they
responded to the final question: “What do
you think is Pangasinan’s most immediate concern, and as a Limgas na
Pangasinan, what would you propose to address and to resolve it?” (PIO/MGNO)
