THE members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) agreed to revert to its old schedule of regular sessions every morning of Mondays.
This was revealed by City Secretary Ryan Ravanzo after some of the SP members questioned the confusing floating schedule of regular sessions in effect, which is held any day from Mondays to Wednesdays
The old schedule of sessions per approved rules of SP was every morning from 10:00 a.m. However, Ravanzo said, sessions in the new schedule will start at 11:00 a.m.
Vice Mayor and presiding officer Brian Lim was already advised by Councilor Maybelyn Fernandez, the majority floor leader, that the SP is reverting to Monday schedule and will hold regular sessions back at the session hall of the SP building.
The last session of the SP on March 6 at Metro Plaza was held beginning 10:00 a.m. with all the councilors present, except for Liga ng Barangay president and ex-officio councilor Dean Bryan Kua who was on official business.
Ravanzo said the vice mayor also agreed to the consensus reached by the councilors.
The SP has only three more regular sessions before the start of the campaign period on March 29. (Leonardo Micua)
