BAYAMBANG—The first phase of the two-story municipal annex building here is set to be completed this month.

According to Municipal Engineer Eddie Melicorio, the building with a bid price of P12-million stands on a 1,000 square-meter lot previously occupied by Digitel company whose usufruct contract has expired, will be completed on target.

He said Mayor Cezar Quiambao decided to construct an extension building of the municipal hall to enable employees to perform their duties better.

The building will be occupied by income-generating units for the one-stop-shop service, he added.

Meanwhile, Melicorio said the construction of municipal boundary markers of Bayambang-Basista, Bayambang-Camiling in Tarlac and Bayambang-Malasiqui have started.

He clarified that the existing signages maliciously attributed in a video presentation posted on Facebook are not the town’s boundary markers.

The signages bore messages about the Guinness World Record title for Longest Barbecue achieved by Bayambang and also a plate that says Bayambang is the corn belt of Pangasinan.

The boundary markers are situated beside the signages that were earlier put up in municipal boundaries. (PhilStar Wire Service)
