LINGAYEN—Remain neutral, apolitical and level the playing field for everyone.

Second District Rep. Leopoldo Bataoil reminded the men in uniform about their duties during the 28th PNP Foundation Day on March 11 held at the Gov. Antonio Sison Camp.

Bataoil, a retired police general who served as police provincial director of Pangasinan, exhorted the policemen to “stay professional, to remain professional, to remain committed to your oath of office”.

He said by staying neutral in the coming political exercise will benefit the community.

“Let us go around in the towns and prove to the people our worth. Just do your job and level the playing field,” he reminded them.

“President Duterte, their commander-in-chief, is expecting so much from you,” he added.

He told them that he and his other mistahs running for different positions in the May elections were called by the President to a meeting last week.

“His (the President) marching order for us, win or lose, is to continue inspiring and leading our respective institutions,” he said.

Bataoil echoed the President’s instructions “to continue the operations against illegal drugs without let up, without mercy but following the rule of law, to continue our enforcement of the law without fear or favor, and at the same time to be humane in the enforcement of law and ensuring that those who are innocent are safe and those who are guilty should face the full force of the law”.
